Tracking specialist
Freelance tracking specialist, for one project or the long run.
Archon Labs is the external tracking team that agencies and in-house marketers bring in when the measurement has to be right. We build it, we repair it, and we hand it over documented.
No sales call. One reply within a working day, and you decide what happens next.
What we do
What a tracking specialist actually does.
The work sits between marketing and engineering, and in most companies it belongs to nobody. That is usually where it goes wrong, and it is the gap we fill.
Site tracking specialist work
Google Tag Manager, GA4 events and conversions, the data layer, form and checkout tracking, cross-domain, and the double counting that nobody notices until two systems stop agreeing.
The measurement layer behind it
Server-side tracking, first-party cookies, Consent Mode v2, conversion feedback to Google Ads and Meta, BigQuery, and monitoring so a break surfaces before your client asks about it.
The martech around it
Customer data platforms, marketing automation, the warehouse everything reports from, and the connections into the ad platforms, so what you measure actually reaches the systems that use it.
How it runs
What happens after you get in touch?
01
Tell us what you need
Two fields and a line about what is going on. You get a reply within one working day, from the person who would do the work.
02
A short call to see if it fits
What you have, what is missing, and whether we are the right person for it. If we are not, we say so and point you somewhere better.
03
A proposal and a start date
What we take on, how long it runs, what it costs, and when we can start. Nothing is committed before that is on paper.
No rate on this page, because the scope decides it. You will know what it costs before anything is committed.
Who you get
We have sat on your side of the table.
Alongside Archon Labs we work agency-side at Yonego as a data specialist, across their client accounts: server-side tracking, first-party cookies, BigQuery pipelines and technical support for CRO. So we know what an agency needs from a specialist. Work that lands, in language the client understands, without your team having to translate it first.
White-label. The work runs under your name and the client relationship stays yours.
We write the brief your developers can build from, then check it against the numbers.
What we set up is documented, so you are never dependent on one person to understand it.
What we actually do, in practice.
GA4 and Google Tag Manager
Implementations from scratch and repairs on a setup you inherited. Events and conversions that capture what they should, a data layer that is designed rather than grown, and cross-domain that holds.
Server-side tracking
Server-side Google Tag Manager via Stape or Taggrs, first-party cookies and a first-party pixel, built to hold up against iOS, ad blockers and the next cookie change.
Conversion tracking
Enhanced conversions, Meta CAPI, offline conversion import so closed deals reach the ad platforms, customer match, and value fed back so bidding learns from margin instead of clicks.
Consent and permission
Consent Mode v2 wired through properly, a banner that keeps what the visitor agreed to, and a setup you can show to legal instead of reconstructing it under pressure.
Customer data and automation
Customer data platforms such as BlueConic, and the technical side of Klaviyo, Customer.io and Segment, so profiles stay clean and segments hold across markets.
Warehouse and reporting
BigQuery and Dataform, pipelines and definitions kept as code, and dashboards on revenue, funnels, segmentation and occupancy that people actually trust.
Attribution and scoring
Identity resolution across days and devices, UTMs and source and medium that survive a redirect, content scoring, and behavioural lead scoring.
Monitoring
Statistical anomaly detection on traffic, forms and conversions, so a break surfaces the same day instead of at the end of the month.
Picking apart someone else’s setup
Attribution gaps, duplicate conversions, missing revenue, and two systems that disagree about the same week. Checked against the back office, never against another dashboard.

Work delivered between 2021 and 2026, freelance through Archon Labs and agency-side at Yonego, across webshops, hospitality, leisure, logistics, rental, software, payments, staffing and charities. From one-person businesses to listed internationals, so the measurement questions are not learned from one industry.

Proof
What one performance agency got back.
The campaigns were already good. What sat underneath them was not, so the algorithms were flying on a fraction of what happened. Nothing in the campaigns changed.
38%
of client traffic back in view, after it had been missing
+26%
more measured conversions, on the same campaigns
14 hrs
saved per project on putting reports together
Measured at one agency, averaged across their client accounts. The fourteen hours is per project. We do not publish numbers we cannot trace back to a specific engagement.
Questions
What people ask before they hire us.
Do you work through an agency, an intermediary, or directly?
All three. Most of the work runs through agencies, white-label under their name. Working directly with a client is fine, and so is a contract through an intermediary.
One project, or ongoing?
Both. Some work is a fixed piece with an end date, a migration or a repair. Some clients keep us on so the setup stays right as the site changes. We do not push you toward either.
What does it cost?
It depends on the scope, so we look at what you need first. You get a proposal built on your situation, and the rate comes up in the conversation before anything is committed.
Are you available?
That depends on what is already running. Ask and you get an honest answer, including when the honest answer is not for a few weeks.
Do you work white-label for agencies?
Yes. The work runs under your name, the client relationship stays yours, and your client does not need to know we exist.
